Baby Praying Mantis!
I awoke this morning to see at least THREE of these little tiny guys on my plants! How cool is that? The biggest one was about 1/2 inch long.

3. Praying Mantis' were handy for middle school boys.
We would sneak an egg sack into class on a Friday and let it sit in the warm room over the weekend. By Monday the class room would be full of baby Mantis. It was worth it to hear the screams of the girls.

4. I remember my cousin having a whole closet full of
praying mantises in his bedroom when I was a little girl. My aunt was not a happy camper.

5. They pack a lot of mantis in those egg sacks.
Each one has around 200 eggs.

If he had several in his closet, I can imagine the chaos.

6. Yeah, I thought it was pretty funny....
....but then I was about seven and ANYTHING getting the grown-ups going seemed pretty funny.

10. Lol.
My stepmother is deathly afraid of them. My dad once put one on her shoulder (it was about 3 or 4 inches long) and she FREAKED OUT. It was quite funny.

8. I just saw a baby praying mantis today
It was the first time I had ever seen one. Unfortunately, I didn't get a picture, but your pics are great.

11. This is the first time I've ever seen a baby one either!
And I was lucky enough to be at home where my camera was. And they posed so nicely for me, too!
