So appropriate, given Julia Ward Howe's Civil War-based Mother's Declaration of Peace, the basis of Mother's Day. Great shot!


Edited to add that that last shot is incredibly moving.

my Canon fires :-) 8 shots a second.

Actually there were three cannon blasts seperated by 3 seconds. I totally missed the second and just caught the tail end of the third. So this one was way more camera than photographer.

5. Before I clicked on this, I had no idea what a CMS was
but now . . . Wow! Especially the last picture. Even though it's a re-enactment, that picture is timeless.
