Along Taylor Creek and the Don River (dial-up advisory)
A thrifty fifty on a 1.6 crop sensor for landscapes? Ridiculous. And yet...

This shot with the 12-24mm Tokina:

Everything else with the cheap, sharp, plastic 50 mm, bless its little glass heart:

1. Nice compositions!
I especially like the rr bridge and the artful trees! You have a great eye for composition! My favorite lens is also a Tokina 70 - 200 but it's a bit slow. Had it for more years than I can count...

3. Thank you, EY
You're very kind. I was actually carrying two zooms that day, but for a change I decided to stick mostly with the 50 and let my feet do the composing. A healthy exercise now and then.

I've heard about that Tokina, good stuff. I have three of their lenses now, and I swear by the 12-24 and the 100mm macro. The 80-400 is newer and less used for now, and like the lens you mentioned, a bit slow. Also doesn't want to communicate with the camera sometimes, sadly.

4. Thanks, Curt
This is in Toronto, where smart old Americans like me go to die. Even Emma Goldman died here. Hemingway, on the other hand, just wished he were dead during his time here.

5. I like the tressles and the bridges
Is it just me or is there something fascinating about railway lines?

6. "trestles"
The spell check in my brain is extra slow today.
