Playing around with my iPhone 3GS camera (Pick Heavy)
Edited on Mon Jul-20-09 02:38 PM by FreeState
Playing around with my iPhones camera and pleasently suprised at the out come. The new phone has as Apple puts it:

"“Tap to focus” (iPhone 3GS only) lets you focus on a specific area of your shot and also automatically adjust the exposure."

Its great - a simple touch on the screen changes the exposer and the focal area - its easy and works well IMO. The camera also has the ability to take photos up to 8-10 inches away so you can get some close up shots.

Heres some of what I came up with this weekend (I have a lot of flowers - been trying to get as close as I can with out distortion etc, playing with natural light - different times of the day etc). No editing has been done - just resized for web.

Seeing how a daughter and her friends play around with an Iphone makes me want one.

4. The color is amazing.... way better than the first iPhone
Its great for images where the focus is close or very distant (sunsets) - I still prefer a regular camera for "tourist" shots (people and things at a distance) because there is no zoom. That being said it sure is handy to have - I take photos with it every day.
