Lightning
We had a sudden thunderstorm complete with lightning. Unfortunately, I was on my way home from grocery shopping so I missed a lot of it. Once I was home, I stuck the perishables in the fridge/freezer, then rushed out to the nearby park (there's a good drop off so I get a good view of the eastern sky, which happens to be where most of the action was). I only managed to catch one shot of lightning and unfortunately, there's a drop of rain on the lens that mars the image a bit.
Anyways, here's the only bit of lightning I managed to catch.

1. Congratulations on getting that shot, a very impressive one. Also,
on successfully posting the picture. You are on the way now, and I look forward to more of them.

2. Good catch
It was quite the storm, wasn't it? I wasn't brave enough to venture out.

3. Crazy gene?
From what I saw of it, it was definitely quite a storm. I'm really disappointed I missed most of it. I think I must have, in part, a crazy gene that allows me to ignore some potentially dangerous weather. It could explain why, whenever there's a windstorm with winds going about 60 kph (appx 40 mph), I want to be out there (not so much if there's rain at the same time). I didn't even think about the potential danger of it until I stepped out the door and someone told me to be careful because of the lightning. I had to stop myself from saying "that's why I'm out here". Probably not a great survival trait. Now if I only had the natural talent photography gene... Ah well, practice and building up my skill will have to suffice.
