Rainier Overshadowed
Normally, when anyone takes a photo of Mount Rainier, the mountain itself is the star of the show. But, on this morning, an unexpected weather pattern brought clouds in from the southeast, upstaging the mountain at sunrise.

1. aha!
Remember this moment when you complain that the weather does not cooperate with your photo plans.

I love cloud pictures, and to get Rainier in there too, well this is probably the best photo I have seen of the mountain.

As they say-- "picture perfect".

5. "Perfect"...???

That day's shoot was such an example of Murphy's Law that I wrote a "making of" account here in my journal/blog. Fellow DU photographers might find it amusing, or at least uncomfortably similar to what they themselves have had to go through on occasion.

6. Nice shot regnaD
It's hard for anything to upstage Mt Rainier. That is a really cool looking cloud though. I like the light peeking through and hitting the mountain.\
