From my back yard... I wish!
I'm jealous of all you back yard veggie growers.

I took this last week in the town of Forio, on the island of Ischia, in Naples Bay. I stopped every afternoon and picked up a few items for snacking. So fresh and so delicious! And mostly local (except for bananas, I would guess). Lemons there grow the size of grapefruit.

1. OH MY GOD !
All this beauty, and being on Ischia and in Italy to "boot".
I can't stand it, I don't usually envy people the good stuff, but we are coming really close.....
I so love it for you.

2. Looks like heaven to me!
It's quite obvious why people in other countries are healthier just by that picture alone.

I'm so jealous that you got to go to Italy! It's the country of my heritage and this is the only way I'll ever get to see it! That stand is incredible. I'd probably have bought way too much!

Do you have more pics of your trip that you'd like to share? I would love to see more.

:hi:

4. All in good time, my pretty!
I'm still going through them, but I will post just one, OK?

This is the ruins of a 14th century cathedral atop the Castello Aragonese, which is joined to Ischia by a land bridge. It used to be a fortress, castle, monastery and convent. The people of Ischia used to go there to be protected from invaders.
