Opinions on greens wanted
Here are my greens. Let me know what you think of them.

Evergreen

Framed in green

Green as grass

After the rain

Urban green

I'm pondering entering the contest but seeing all the other green threads is actually quite intimidating.

2. The Urban green is my favorite, with the one above it
(is it a Hosta leaf?) above it.

9. Maybe a hosta
My plant recognition skills are not really worth mentioning so I'm not sure if it is a hosta leaf. From what I can see from wikipedia, it looks like it could be. Here's an image of the full leaf.

The leaf was pretty large - about a foot across.

Incidentally, like you, I personally prefer Urban Green but from the comments, it looks like the frog will do a lot better. So, unless I come up with something else in between now and submissions, my entry will be the frog.

10. Hosta ! for sure, have them all over my yard.
Actually, just between you and me, I think all of us could stand a little stretching from flora and fauna.
I considered going downtown myself, to shoot some Urban Green if I could find it, but I have my hands full with work for which I am grateful, and my files full with nature shots, and my yard full of tomatoes that are getting ready to finally turn red.

(and Hostas)

Anyway, your frog is cute, and go for it, but I love the city shot.

6. LOL! Talk about green . . .
check this one out. Cross my heart and swear on the bible I did not adjust the color. This is what the Fox River looks like when conditions are (ahem) "just right".

And to think I row in that stuff!

It hasn't looked like that this season though - thank gawd!

12. Fascinating and disturbing
That's a truly fascinating and disturbing image. I know it's probably just the algae but to see it so vibrantly green is unsettling.

8. 2 & 4
THe frog is a terrific shot. I love the drops on the leaf and the depth of field of that shot. Really nice.

13. Frog or urban...
Thanks for the kind words. But now you've made me hesitate. I'm now having a hard time deciding between the frog and urban green... Ah well, I guess I still have a few days to decide.
