Maybe you will find one or two you like as well, and get in a spirit of relaxation

One of simple weather
Tropical rains and disturbances happen within minutes. It can rain on your left like crazy, and be sunny and hot on your right,
but you search for the rainbow, and it usually seems to not have had time to form, it all passes so quickly.

A few from my bike rides

I followed him around for a while, watched him drink from a back yard pool and that's the water hanging from his beak

A boat yard at late light, since the tops of the boats were cut off by necessity I added the last shot which shows the tops :)

The place where we are staying is next to the local city built sunset park. Lucas the fish catching dog was back again today, and the light in the water was more beautiful, besides, I'm beginning to love Lucas

Finally a dramatic sunset

The message of the Florida Keys is something akin to :
"Enjoy yourself, you're here now, so what's your hurry?" Not a bad bit of advice to the rest of us.

2. Yes, these are very relaxing Mira!
Just what I need after getting off of a plane.

Beautiful! I like them all. That bird photo is very striking! Well done! I like how the dog is completely absorbed in his fish catching! :-D

I'm in Vienna now! Will do my best to take a few decent pictures.

3. Holy cow! These are just outstanding.
So hard to pick a favorite, but the shot of Lucas deserves to win a contest as soon as the right theme comes along.

Thanks for sharing your trip so vividly. As a South Florida native, I have a strong emotional response to these. But even if I weren't, I know I'd find them very rewarding to view.

5. Once again Mira, your photos are gorgeous!
I went by the Theater an der Wien this afternoon, where we'll be performing tomorrow night. Here's what's written on a plaque on the wall outside:

It's a very special place to play for that reason.

This is an old photo I took years ago, from a painting of the theater in the foyer.

Tomorrow before the rehearsal, I'll be able to take some pictures of the interior.

I strolled through the Nasch Markt later, but the light wasn't good. I'll go back tomorrow.

9. This is so great. I have BEEN to the Theater an der Wien, but don't remember
much about it because I was very young.
Now - about Beethoven placques - there are little ones all over Vienna. I lived in the "Trautsohngasse nummer 8" and two or so houses down was one on the wall that said he lived there for a while....
(great about his one opera Fidelio being first performed in that theater, my last (female) dog, a yellow lab, was named "Fidelio")

I am on a roll about seeing Vienna again. I'm lucky to have a cousin who has a large rent controlled apartment in the vicinity of the Wiener Opera near Kaerntner Strasse, and I can stay with him any time I want.
I hope your concert went really well.

7. I miss you, too, dixiegrrrrl. I'm heading home on Tuesday. Right this minute
I'm planning a trip to the Everglades for tomorrow, and hope to hear Obama's speech this pm without too much need for translation expressed by my fellow travelers.
(I'm hopeful and nervous about the speech)
Lucas must stay here. His owners are very nice people who love him, too.

8. Beautiful photos!
I especially love the first one and the sunsets. It's hard for me to capture pics of the sky when I see something so stunning. You did a great job! :hi:
