Hi everyone! There's going to be a wedding in the family soon, and I need recommendations on a good site for uploading the photos. I've looked at flickr a bit and I'm still a bit confused on how it all works. I looked at Picasa, it looked easier, but on reading the fine print, it appears Google would own my photos. I'm only going to have the wedding pictures on the account. I need to have it set up so that one url will get everybody to the photos, yet keeping my personal information private. Any suggestions and help will be much appreciated. :hi:

1. Have you looked at Photobucket? |
|
I would have to say that way over 50% of us use Photobucket, perhaps in addition to other ones. It's easy, for sure. I never really pay attention to copyrights but it must be okay with most people here using it. :)
I hope it is a wonderful wedding.

4. yeah, we had one like that this summer |

Simple and small. We had it at my husbands office building and hired a caterer. Even "simple and small" can get a bit more complex with people coming in from out of town, etc.
Are you hiring a photographer? We did, but it was the son of a friend, and it was his third wedding, only. That made it all a bit interesting. He took enough pictures that I guess it was a success. We did it a little bit cut rate so I think I am left to make a slideshow.
It was all wonderful, but sooooo glad it is over and done.
Of course a ton of people there were taking pictures, and even some video. When I get the chance I think it will be fun to make a media thingie out of it.

5. Aww, I bet it was gorgeous! |

Nope, no photographer...they're going to the courthouse and we're have a good sit-down dinner reception for about 20 people. Lot of details even with keeping it this simple. I'm dragging them to a real pretty park for the formal pictures. :D

3. I use Photobucket, too. |
|
Really easy to use and totally free. And you don't have to share your whole album unless you want to.

I like the fact that I can choose a special URL for a particular album. :hi:
