Coral Photography
I am still trying to perfect coral photography. I have learned the white balance settings are very important to try to get true colors. Here are the latest attempts from my reef tank.

2. Trial and error.
Any kind of flash ruins the color. The white balance was the big change. Only tank lights can be on in the room.

3. Beautiful presentation ! Love the overall view to put the details
in perspective.
When I was swimming around rocks in the Fla Keys just now, with large goggles but no snorkle, I saw so many beautiful and colorful fish I thought about how much I would love to bring you some. Those things are so gorgeous, and so expensive.
Carry on, though it's a hobby that will keep you off the streets. I like it when you're in the streets, you bring us such interesting observations.

4. I like the streets in the winter.
Right now, it is all tourists. I don't have anything against tourists, but they just aren't as interesting to me to photograph.

5. I'm guessing florescent lighting? Color balance can be tricky with
some florescents. Modern stuff has come a long way in spectrum but some of them still have a hole in the light output. Digital does a good job of electronically adding color where none exists but it's still hard to get a natural looking result.

Oh, btw, these are very good. Keep tweeking and think about changing bulbs to a different name brand or color tint.
