At the farmers' market.
This is the second year we've a had a weekly market at the park down the street. The vendors set up along two sides of the park. While they put up with a lot of rain throughout the summer, September has been good to them and good to us customers. Here's to the fine weather continuing through their final week at the end of October.

Entertainment this week was a cellist. Previous weeks have featured clog dancers, a country music trio and fiddle players.

1. Hey, JeffR, awaited and happy to see it. You're doing here what I try to do sometimes,
which is to show an event in a sequence that makes us feel we also were there.

You have just enough here for me to feel like I got to experience it, too

I like the switch to b/w for a minute, and as a sign maker I like the first one, nice work.
Since that's the sort of thing I do it makes me know I could make it anywhere.
I love that, it gives me a feeling of freedom.
Thanks.

3. You could do well in this part of town.
If you were to specialize in "Dollar Store - Nothing Over $1.00!";)

Seriously, though, the commercial street this park fronts on is, a few miles to the east, one of the most vibrant in the city, home to Toronto's Greektown, with bars and (excellent) restaurants full to overflowing and some great local businesses. Our stretch is less than dynamic. The hardware store that burned to the ground nearly a decade ago is still a huge empty lot, we don't have even a hole-in-the-wall video rental place anymore, the neighborhood grocery store is really crappy, etc. We do boast the best guitar store in town, at least.

And yet, despite the recession, houses in the neighborhood are fetching above half a million bucks. Go figure.

2. My dear JeffR!
Ah, these are wonderful!

And what a lovely venue...a park.

You've really caught the flavor of a good farmer's market here...

Thank you!
