Day late & a dollar short, as usual. Occurred to me that I never posted any night shots
So here are a couple I took. The moon is from earlier tonight, when it peeked out from behind the clouds for a minute. Taken with a cheap spotting scope with no mount for a T2, so I just jammed the tube over the rubber eyepiece heheh. The View of Corpus was taken last night at Padre Island National Seashore.

As usual with my photos posted here, they're links to the originals, so you can see them full-size, if desired.

View toward Corpus

This is taken from the deck of the visitor center, looking over the new pavilion the NPS just built.

1. I've tried shooting through binocular eyepieces with varying degrees of success.
I'd be happy with your results.

3. Thanks - There's some CA, but it was a quick shot. Two main problems with
jamming it over the eyepiece is that that you can't easily adjust the zoom, and the weight of the camera causes the eyepiece to shift. So I'm going to have to get around to buying one that I can use with a T2 & T-mount. I've been hitting pawn stores up, checking Craigslist, etc. with no luck - guess I'll have to buy new or through ebay.

5. There's a bracket that attaches cameras to telescopes, but it probably costs

6. Yeah, I've looked over a few different adapters. They never really 'hooked' me
for a number of reasons.

1. I don't feel comfortable using them with my dslr.
2. Even more weight on the tripod head.
3. I can't use them with telescopes.
4. Too big - I use a 50cc scooter to get around most of the time, limited storage space.

7. It might work for my point and shoot. I had to get rid of my telescope
because I can't lift over 30 lbs now due to an injury, so Binocs are all I use now. The weight of a DSLR irritates my injury.

8. I've seen great results from P&S, so it's probably a worthwhile investment n/t

9. I was looking for a DSLR, but when I put one around my neck, I could tell that
it would be trouble, so I Narrowed my search down to Lumix LX3, Leica D-Lux 4, Canon G10, and Olympus EP 1. The Leica and Olympus were too expensive and the Lumix was sold out all over the country. The G10 was very good, and I am used to the way of Canon.

I could move up to a 4/3 system some day.

10. The 4xx and 6xx series are very small, in relation to other DSLR's, and being 4/3.
the lenses for a particular range are generally smaller and lighter than for APS-C and Full-Frame cameras lenses at the same range. Probably still too heavy for you at the moment though.

11. I've had some relief by attaching the camera to my monopod and
supporting the strap around my neck. I also sling it under my right arm and have the strap resting on my deltoid muscle.

12. Do you think that perhaps those binocular harnesses might work?

13. They have camera harnesses similar to what you showed. Thanks, that

looks like something I could use. Maybe a good strong wrist strap might be a good solution.

4. Thanks. Actually, I have some I really like from a few weeks ago, but I decided to
just post a couple of recent photos.
