Given that this month's topic is basically a submission for your best photo of 2009, it is not surprising it is generating such interest.

I think due to the topic, it should be open to everyone who posts within the contest period.

Oh well, just my thoughts. Rules are the rules I guess.

getting it, let me do it now.

Imagine the mother load of threads we could have to vote on, the rules we would have to re-write, the way the monthly contest would just take over the photography group all month long with people voicing their opinions and learning the changes.

If this is a consistent problem every month then probably we would think of different rules to accommodate more entries. But it is a little bit late to do that for this month.

It's pretty hard to get a consensus of opinion around here, LOL. So scrambling around now over how to get into the finals with four poll threads out there would be pretty daunting.

8. maybe we need to consider a new rule

If it fills up within 48 hours, then there will be four preliminaries, and fewer wildcards.

However, making this retroactive might be problematic.

I would say for now and in the future leave this up to the organizer.

but I've seen a lot worse. Sometimes the tombstoning seems to be a bit arbitrary.

As an example, she would quote long texts instead of four paragraphs, and then complain to the mods when her posts were deleted, and claim she thought she could do that when she put a box around the paragraphs. And, she seemed so indignant about everything.

But she had a new camera and could have had a good time hanging out here. I've found that since starting to chase birds around I'm not quite as overbearing about my viewpoints.
