1. Dunno, I just got home from work
Having a cup of tea, then heading to bed. It's been a long week.

2. Preoccupied
Although I'm not quite as regular a poster as others here, I've been a bit preoccupied (mostly work related). Maybe everyone is either preoccupied with the health care issue or is taking a bit of a breather from the issue. Given the highly emotional state of a lot of posters, it probably wouldn't be too surprising.

3. raining here
Or you would probably have had to suffer through more heron pictures. Also, didn't Adsos, our prolific Bay poster, go east on vacation?

And Mira has been much quieter than usual. That about sums it up.

4. I've been lurking in the shadows...
just not posting much, as usual. :hide: I have noticed that it has been much quieter in here the past few days.

However, I did get a few photography books from the library. I'm looking forward to posting some of my 'study' shots soon.

8. I'm just out playing with a spotting scope. Learning how to focus

& adjust exposure at 1500mm & greater.

Edit: Taking the old 35mm 'standard' that a 50mm lens equated to a normal field of view, a 15x - 60x scope would be 750mm @ 15x, and my 4/3 sensor is 2x effective.

Actually, I think it's more than that. Using the t-mount, the camera sensor is further from the scope eyepiece - which enlarges things (think of macro extension tubes). I haven't figured out the ratio yet, but the view from the camera & scope is at a higher magnification than that from an adjacent scope set to the same zoom.

Anyway, lots of fun, but I sure am glad I'm using Compact Flash ... I'd be in the poorhouse if I were using film.
