It's a tradition for my wife and I to give glass as gifts. So we have a lot of glass objects around the house.

1. Is that top glass Wexford?

I have a whole bunch of that stuff I picked up in flea markets after my regular crystal got broken/lost. I like it because it is cheap, but also hard to break!! They must have sold a bunch of it way back when. And, it didn't break because it is always in flea markets!

2. Not sure what it is. It's yard sale glass.

4. Yes that stuff is ubiquitous

Mainly because it is practically indestructible.

You did a great job making it look good!

3. If Still Life carries the day

you've got some formidable material here. I love the simplicity of these shots, especially the second one with the window reflected. Perfect.

5. That's why I like Macro. It forces you to simplify. It won't matter to me what

comes out on top, either selection will be a challenge.

I really like the third shot. I love the distortions of the more distant glasses.

7. I like the distortion too. I'm hot/cold on the image, but that's typical for me.

8. I like the thrid one too

and the sepia gives it an extra pop. The cropping is terrific. Makes you look more than once.

9. This place has been a real help. We have so many artist on this site and you

can't help but learn from them.

I'm thinking of signs. My first thought was: oh shit.

My head is cooler now and I am thinking I have to tell a story beyond the text of the sign. I will have to step back from my up close and personal and add context to the sign. Let's hope for good weather.
