6. They really are starting to look like each other.

When we first got the puppy, she didn't have that brownish color on her face. I thought it was from her dog food, but it doesn't wash out, so I think that's the way it's going to be, just like Sugar's tortoise-shell face.

8. Yuuko is very, very jealous,

so whenever Sugar jumps into my, or especially Jim's, lap, she has to get even closer, always insinuating herself in between the cat and her person. But instead of chasing Sugar away or barking at her, she starts licking her all over as if to say, "I know I'm being a brat about this, but if I give you a nice tongue bath, will it make you feel better," and usually that's fine with Sugar. It's hilarious to watch them together.

I've seen this gambit with our animals, though usually it's the two dogs who engage in it, while the cat keeps her distance.
