Paging Blue...
I hope you got photos of the Jamaica Dog Sled team. I have to root for them this year to finish well if not first.

1. Yes, I did get photos of him,
both here in Anchorage at the ceremonial start and yesterday out in Willow when they started the real race. I think the ones I have from town might be a little better because everyone wanted to high-five him as he came mushing by yesterday, and I got a bunch of hands in front of my lens. I HATE it when they do that. The hand people messed up most of my Lance Mackey pictures, too. It's not like they didn't see me there with my big lens taking pictures of the mushers as they came by, but that didn't stop them from sticking their hands out six inches from the front of my lens. I wanted to smack a few people.

But the good news is we will be in Nome next week, so I'm sure I'll get some better pictures out there. Hopefully Newton will finish the race as he did the Yukon Quest last year. He's been training with Lance this year, so he got some good tips, I'm sure.

2. Course I saw that and immediately
thought of you. lol Glad you got pictures in spite of the rude people. Sometimes I swear they do it on purpose. Here 's hoping they all make it to the finish and you get some photos that the mushers can't help but have to buy. No doubts here on you getting great photos. Can't wait to see them all. Have a great time in Nome.
