Royal Gorge, Colorado

Taken from bridge across abyss.

Bridge across abyss. You can either walk it or drive it. We walked it.

Edited for wrong Gorge. Thanks for the catch.

1. Looks a lot like Royal Gorge....

I got this photo from google, can't find my pictures from way back. Does the canyon have a different name? Beautiful shots no matter where it is. When we last were at Royal Gorge no cars were allowed on the bridge as they were working on it. (around 1990) It was a fun scary, walk on the bridge. You could see way down between the boards on the walk then and feel it swaying in the wind.

3. Well now I know you are definately human.
We all make mistakes. I was looking for Flaming Gorge on the google. There is one in Utah. Still great photos and kudos for walking across the bridge. It is an unforgettable experience.

4. I have been to both,
so I got my gorges mixed up. Flaming Gorge is very beautiful. Quite a scary trip over the gorge, but worth the trip.

There were people with campers and boats at the top of the gorge. I cannot imagine pulling something behind. I had my foot planted on the brake the entire ride down, and I was the passenger!

5. Gee! Couldn't they have told me No Fishing /before/ I lugged all my gear out on
this rickety old thing?

Wonderful shots, kudos! The thing I hate about places like that is that I'm always afraid my hat is going to blow off (or something similar) and that I'll make an instinctive lunge for it :/

6. Spectacular gorge.
The no fishing sign made me laugh.

7. Really awesome!
Don't you wish we could still get lots of wild scenes without some type of wire running through them? Almost everywhere one looks now, with few exceptions, there are signs of man running through beautifully primitive scenes.
