I stumbled across this naked young lady on the beach today, |
|
while doing a walking sea turtle patrol. A stranded Spinner Dolphin. She's doing ok. More photos with descriptions at http://www.flickr.com/photos/qnr/sets/72157623878383410/

Glad to hear she's doing ok. That must have been very stressful for her. Good thing you found her.

7. It was stressful for her, and I was surprised at how cold she was, she was shivering |
|
badly for a while until we got some towels and body heat on her.

9. Yes, she was, and she did. Tje shots mostly show her with her eyes closed, but that was |
|
more a matter of keeping sand and sargassum out of them. She would get a little frantic when I stopped holding and stroking her, to go get some water to wet her down, and then calm back down when I came back.

Was she released or taken to rehab for a bit?

12. They're always taken in for rehab. Or as I like to think of it 'Dolphin Health Spa' - |
|
they get medical examinations and treatment - an appropriate diet, and 24-hour companionship until it's determined that they can be released.
