Bears + Cheetos = ...
I saw these on the side of a Skytrain station (Skytrain is Vancouver's equivalent of the subway, although most of the Skytrain line is above ground and hence the name).

Scariest thing about them is that I haven't upped the saturation...

All three

They're pretty scary all right.

2. Didn't want to get too close...
I used my telephoto just in case. On the chance you want to check them out yourself, they're on the side of the Cambie & 49th station.

I think the photos might actually be slightly underexposed so they're even brighter than I show. I took them today so it was overcast. They're probably also much more disturbing when exposed to bright sunlight.

3. Is this the Canadian answer to "Peeps"...?
I must admit, when I first read your title, my response was "Bears + Cheetos = Missing pic-a-nic baskets." ;-)

4. ?
Wow! Boggles the mind. I hope your lens didn't come away all yellow in spit of being telephoto. That yellow gunk travels vast distances, you know.

6. Disturbing...
Another disturbing thing about them is the size. As you might guess from the plant at the feet of the one in close-up, these guys are pretty big - probably life-sized. That's a lot of gunk... I really wonder what was going through the minds of the people who designed it and the ones who approved it.

10. They were in the Toronto Sculpture Garden downtown.
Haven't been there in a while, but I think the exhibitions change monthly.
