Can anyone recommend a scanner to me?.. |
|
Mine died 2 days ago with an impressive sound that sounded like a car crash when the light cradle, or whatever it is called, came to a halt at the near end of the machine. It was an Epson 1650 Perfection Photo model. (I tried all of the usual tactics to see if it was a connection/computer issue.) It is abt 3 1/2 years old and not under warranty.
I'm using the scanner to scan in old film photos, and would like it to have slide & negative capability built in.
Right now, I'm considering the Epson Perfection 4180 Photo Scanner. I want to keep the price below $250.
I do print some of the photos, not just scan them.

The flatbed is an Acer generic, but the film one i a PrimeFilm 1800U. Wouldn't have it any other way. You could get two for what you want to spend. The PrimeFilm is fantastic: http://www.digitallyunique.com/pf1800u.htmlKeith’s Barbeque Central
