Lady Slipper - Massachusetts Orchid
Lady Slippers are in bloom right now. I just took this shot in Middlesex Fells today.



I think this would have been a better submission for the April contest, and Bleeding Hearts would have been a better submission for the May crazy hearts contest.

Timing is everything.

Oh well...

looking down onto the forest floor.

You can see the wings and the cape, and the pink sack is her dress....

I guess it is subject to wide interpretation....
