free picture hosting?
Edited on Sun Jan-09-05 08:46 PM by amazona
I was wondering if I do overcome my bashfulness and post a photo or two, can you kind people recommend any free picture hosting sites?

The conservation movement is a breeding ground of communists
and other subversives. We intend to clean them out,
even if it means rounding up every birdwatcher in the country.

4. What about remote linking and popups?
I have a freeservers.com page, but it occasionally alerts that "remote linking is forbidden", which would preclude me from posting here. Are other services different? The popups are kind of annoying, too. I should probably just buy a domain/site/whatever.

5. I've been using Freeservers....
Edited on Wed Jan-19-05 06:57 PM by bvar22
...for 4 years, and linking to DU without any problems.
In fact, that the only reason I use Freeservers is to park pictures to put up on DU.

As a Website, mine is a mess. It still has alot of the templates and promo text visible.
I'll clean it up some day....when I care.

I currently have over six pages of pictures parked on Freeservers.
I've never received any negative flack from the landlords, and my content is very anti-bush*

It's not secure, people can backtrack and view your stuff.
But I still recommend this site for parking pictures.

12. As far as I can tell, you can't.
It looks like they've taken steps to prevent remote linking. While I see at least one way to embed their thumbnails in a post, it looks like they deliberately discourage remote linking.

13. I use photodump.com a lot.
After you upload an image, it'll give you the url. You can cut & paste and save it in our favorites, or just paste it into the body of a message. The photo should then appear when you hit the preview button.
