1. Lovely, high meadow
Were you on a hike? We don't have such scenery within hundreds of miles here so I appreciate.

Nice to have that small figure of a person in the wide open space.

Does the mountain have a name?

3. No hike
It was in Iran, in the city of Hamedan http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hamedan, at Ecbatana, a archeological site http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ecbatana

Th mountains are surrounding Hamedan and are called Alvand Mountains.

2. I like it, but there is lots more in that image
than you give it. Five minutes with photoshop, a crop and

I admit I don't use Photoshop.

5. Does the way it looks depend on the monitor?
To be honest, on my new Dell monitor at least, the original looks better, and this looks like too much Photoshop. I have a feeling on my laptop the reverse would be true. Inconvenient to try it right now but I might later. Where this Photoshop looks best (at the current monitor, to me) is the hill. The hill in front of the mountain definitely looks better.

My big problem with it is the top of the mountain, and the clouds, that don't look that realistic--they are too blue for one thing. I like the top hidden by the clouds more. Also the meadow looks unrealistically dark green.

Again, sometime today I'll try to crank up my laptop (or even better, my husband's) and look at it at a different angle.

9. I understand your point...
...but I don't care for the color saturation. More contrast is an improvement. Lovely photo in any case!

6. I like
I would change the name. I perceive the person as finding, not being lost. So much to cherish and delight in.

8. You are actually correct
it is my brother and he was enjoying to discover.

It took me a bit to figure out a title but couldn't come up with a better one.

10. I adore this photo, Miss Honeychurch.
Would have thought it was Switzerland. All I would change on it, though it is not necessary, is a bit off the right, and two bits of sky off the top.
Try it when you have time, and see if you like it.
