Luckily it is OK. Glad it is a metal bodied camera (Canon G10).

I've only processed one of the race. More later if I feel they are good.

1. Whew!
So glad you didn't break it! Those kids look like they are having a blast. :hi:

2. The sound the camera made was sickening. So glad it survived the fall.
Yeah, the fountain is a favorite for the kids. They aren't supposed to be in it, but when it is hot, nobody is going to stop them.

6. For what it is worth to you, Alfredo
I simply love your work and your eye behind the lens finder to an ever increasing proportion.

I cannot pick a favorite, except number one, number two with a crop of less (no bikes) on the top, just the edge of the feet on the bottom.
Number three with the roof gone on the top, number four is a very nice shot but not a favorite, and the race:
It makes me envious. A feeling I rarely have, because I'm not basically wired that way.
But that bike shot is one I wish I knew how to take.

7. Thanks. The first one is a favorite. I like it in B&W too.
I left the bikes and the kid in because of the triangle they made. The design in the bricks ties them together. I tried cropping out the roof on the second, but I lost some of the water, and I felt the lines the water formed was important to the story. Not that sure about number four. I do like the movement in the image. The faces and the arms moves the eyes around the image. I liked the look on the face of the girl on the left. Happiness. Still, not that into it

Bicycle racing is subject rich. Think of them as clowns on a spawning run and go from there. Position yourself inside and outside the corner and try to have some type of solid barrier between you and the action. Outside corners are good too, but can be more exciting than you planned for, especially with a large field of riders and/or if you are on the last corner before the finish line. A lot of skin and collarbones are sacrificed to the gods of the last corner.

Turn off the flash.

Point and shoot shutter lag is a real pain, so planning is important. I played mostly with shutter speed and did some panning.

Take a look at the image in post #3. That one is becoming a favorite.
