The is/was the pedestrian/bike bridge between Lindinwood Park in Fargo ND & Gooseberry Park in Moorhead MN during the June Flood. The bridge seems to be in pretty good shape from being in the river for something like two months.

From this:

To this: Rolled over in it's side.

To this: Resting on the Moorhead side.

Crane they used.

Shameless plug for 12X zoom on Sony DSC-H1

Rating Plate on bridge:
That would explain the good condition of the bridge, even with all the driftwood piled against it.

Stuff like this happens when one lives at the bottom of a drain for two states.

The Fargo/Moorhead area is not a photographers paradise.
One has to make do around here.

1. Hey, opportunity is what you make of it.
I have rolls and rolls of stuff that I took for personal documentary reasons. It always amazes me how long it takes to clean up from disasters. In other parts of the country, if we hear of disasters at all, we hear a blurb on news, then it's gone the next day. Consider yourself taking journalistic shots for us and for posterity. :)

2. The 1st or 2nd would have been a great "Water" entry
.... and that zoom really...errr...zooms. Crystal clear. Nice.

The photos you've posted in the past that my terrible memory recalls wouldn't back up your claim that you don't live in a photographers paradise. And I bet you could grab some waaaay kewl winter/snow shots.
