I just got a set of extension tubes (just some cheap ones that force you to go full manual) and decided to play with them a bit before going to sleep. My initial test shots were mainly to get an idea of what kind of magnification I would get and the distance from the subject. None of the initial shots are worth posting. Since I was in manual anyways, I figured I'd try a long duration, close-up shot. Took me a few tries to get the timing and lighting more or less acceptable (could benefit from a few more tries but I'm a bit too tired to care, as this was essentially a test shot anyways).





Are there any extension tube users with handy tips they're willing to share?
