Hope this doesn't cause any problems.

I had this in mind from the beginning but in fairness to NV Whino I tried to be more original. It is chili season in New Mexico and the official state question is "Red or green?"

My personal opinion is that it is similar but plenty different, BTW the red or green is something I only recently learned about. It's emotionally different, if that makes any sense.
If you don't get a quick note here from NCWhino, I would pm her and ask what she thinks. Time it seems is of the essence, and that last spot is waiting for someone, and I would love for it to be you.

...a different one. I like your eggs and thought of eggs...a brown one amidst white. Once you get to thinking about it, the possibilities seem endless, especially with produce. Another original idea was minerals with a shell but ideally it would be "natural", not contrived.

And thanks for your positive comment about my egg holders. They will pale against the other entries, but that's almost OK, all I want is to be in the top ten, and this time, I doubt I'll make it.

I think that the simplicity of this subject contributed to making the entries unusually diverse and fascinating. We all had alternatives in the wings, and made decisions, I myself had to slap myself and say: "No you will not swap this out."

I like what you entered as much as the one you did not, a bit more because it has humor and affords the viewer a double take.
