They're both reminders of how important visual rhythm can be, especially when color is removed from the equation.

3. Absolutely.
While color can be very eye-popping, black and white really does give you more of the story. Much less distracting.

5. I ask if color is essential. I sometimes go out with the camera set to black & white.
