Pecan Street Festival pics
I think I've posted photos from this event before. It's a really big arts and crafts festival in downtown Austin, which usually brings out an array of colorful characters, so it's a good reason to get out and take some photos. And since I live downtown it's right outside my door.

My wife actually took the following 2 pics, which I thought were very good! And I did the processing on them.

And here she is, the budding photog:

Some more photos from the festival:

1. Jesus put a wheel on his cross?

These events are interesting from a sociological point of view. The vendors and entertainers are all in their 60s. I don't see the you folks moving to fill these positions. It will be a sad occasion when the last hippy dies.

2. These are so much fun!
I love every picture, but, together, they tell a story that is greater even than the sum of its parts.

The grim reaper hitchhiking?? Thumbs up? Or.........what? The kid doesn't look too frightened.

Kudos to your wife and her contribution to the photos!

5. A visual feast. Exhausting though, I bet.
Nice of you to take us along. It would take this and then some to make me go back to Texas.
I'm with Louise on that subject. (of Thelma and Louise... that is)

(I'm not totally serious. I do not want to disparage Texas, I just don't want to breathe air that's so close to Dubya)

8. Austin's not like the rest of Texas, you know.
It's a great place to live. Quite liberal, especially for Texas. Very active downtown area. Huge music scene. There's always stuff going on.
