As you can obviously tell - I'm still struggling trying with the theme. On the plus side, after hundreds of photos..I'm actually learning something. All that time is well spent if I can say that.

and then add the fifth. I've had some of my very best times taking pictures while working towards an entry.
And undoubtedly learned the most when I was struggling doing it.

5. Thanks for these! My take on each contest is that the best part of it

is seeing what people are doing to pursue the theme. That's where we can see each other thinking on the fly, stretching, playing. I love it when people post things they're considering, things they rejected and "help me pick my entry" polls.

These are a lot of fun, which is in such short supply these days. Here's to fun!

8. I love the first one

I really like the way the black background and the sides of the candle holder blend together as one and just the line of light on the bottom define the shape. Ot's a very cool use of space and of the color black.
