Can you help with a "positive" project today, simply by taking a picture?

I'm creating a campaign called the "I Choose" Campaign, in response to the selfish, hateful, mean-spirited actions and worldview we're seeing more and more of lately.

Basically, I want to offer a way for people to declare the world they choose to create (this is in response to Glenn Beck dissing Wishadoo on his show a couple of weeks ago).

Below is one of several graphics I've created, using words that most DUers resonate with as far as worldview. Of course, Glenn Beck and Company loathe phrases like "The Common Good," words like "empathy and "compassion."

I don't intend to get into a pissing match with Glenn Beck and Company, or their followers. I simply want to contrast the two worldviews and, for those who resonate with the I Choose Campaign, offer a way to express it. I'll be attacked regardless, simply by posting this and other things here at DU. The mirror sites often post what we write and ridicule us and more...stalking, even.

After Beck dissed Wishadoo on his show, Wishadoo! was already contacted by quite a few of his listeners, warning...."we're watching you"...."you're part of the evil socialism/communism/fascism/nazism destroying our country."

ANYWAY, here is one graphic for the I Choose Campaign:

(When I get things ready, I'll announce at DU and will be offering a line of merchandise based on the above graphic, and others, to help raise money to continue to develop Wishadoo and to fulfill recent obligations that have occurred as a result of ownership change, just fyi...)

If anyone has an interest in helping me with a video project for the "I Choose" Campaign, I'd appreciate it. I hope to post about the campaign, with a petition and everything, tomorrow here at DU, with permission kindly granted from Skinner. :)

It's very simple: I'm looking for people, either alone or in groups to write down a word or words that convey the world they choose to create. Using the above graphic as an example or adding anything (rated G) you prefer. ;)

My goal is to create a video which includes images of people of all ages showing a piece of paper where they've written a word to convey the type of world they choose....showing the palm of their hand where they've written the word....showing where they've written the word in sand or on a foggy mirror....anything.

Just showing people CHOOSING their world and sharing that.

I especially want kids....but the elderly would be so cool, too!

I'm also open to song recommendations that would be a good background to such a video.

If anyone is interested in helping, please email me such pics or comments at luvsresearch@gmail.com. Please include your DU name so I may contact you here via PM to confirm it's you and that I have your permission to use any images.

This is a first for me, so I'm wingin' it. ;)

Thanks! :hi:

1. Would love to help
but I have no kids readily available. Well if I can coax my three year old grandson into writing love with crayon on something I will definitely send it to you. That is questionable, however.

I think this is an awesome project! I love your videos too, so I would be especially motivated to help because of that.

You might post this in the DU Lounge as well! Good luck.

2. Thank you!

I posted to the Lounge first, where someone brilliantly suggested to post here. :)

Hey...adults are welcome, too! I am just hoping for kids and elderly people to partake as well.

The grandchild writing something with crayon would be GREAT!

Or kids writing in chalk on their driveway and someone taking a picture....that would be cool.

I'm trying to get my teen who is with a bunch of friends to please take pics with this idea in mind after they're done at the State Fair.

It's like pulling teeth!

Thanks, Celebration!
