1. Now you're going all Hitchcock on
us. Reminds me of the birds and the bit of blur on the trees only makes it more so. I love it even if it did take me a long time to get over my fear of birds flying around me after that movie.

7. I wonder, does that school have four rooms?
Many old homes had the central stairs and four rooms. It reminded me of some of the old farmhouses.

8. Been a while since I was there
and you couldn't go upstairs, but I think it had more than four rooms. More like four on each floor.

3. The lighting was really marginal for my P&S. I'm glad it
came out as well as it did.

This image is the gold standard of that type of image. It is also the cover art for Wilco's "Sky Blue Sky." Great album BTW.

5. I can HEAR them
They sound like this.........blackbirds are really something when they get going. I hear them every time I see a photo of a flock of them.

6. Starlings are related to the Myna bird.
They are a very good mimic. Mozart had a pet Starling. He even wrote a piece about it.

11.  Thanks. Black and white. There was a bit of blue in the sky, but

it didn't add anything to the story.

13. They were coming to roost for the night. Right after that
picture a homeowner fired some shots in the air, or set off a device that made a loud banging noise.
