And to Intheflow and Blue_In_Ak for coming in second and third respectively.

1. Great work, CC!
:applause:  :toast:
That was a great photo. Deceptively simple... until you notice the detail on the birds, the crispness of their markings, and the peculiar way the one bird's beak pointed exactly at the point where the other bird's beak ends reflected each other.

Blue gave me a run for the money at the end! :scared:

And Raging--who else has endured such obstacles hosting? Your patience is legion. I salute you! :patriot:

As for me... I guess I'm always a bridesmaid, never a bride.

:nopity:

:silly:

2. I love your photo and
the whole concept behind it. All the photos were so good and love seeing the different and creative approaches to the theme. Matrix and the plane propeller were also great and unique. Hell all of the photos were great.
I feel like I happened more on luck with the bluebirds. They were fledglings out for the first time that I know about and hesitant about getting in the water. They did eventually get in and splashed like crazy while dad was up in the tree throwing fits at me. It took quite a few shots to get both birds together with out at least one nothing but a blur.

to Raging for running a great contest through adversity. A big THANK YOU.

3. You're funny, ITF...
"always a bridesmaid, never a bride." That's EXACTLY what I said to HullBoss tonight about myself when I saw the results. I don't know how many times I've come in second or third now...I'm just going to have to get better, I guess. :) By the way, I loved your photo, and CC's, too. The competition was stiff.

Thanks again, Raging, for "endeavoring to persevere." (I always loved that line from The Outlaw Josie Wales.)

4. Congrats to all - great photos
(all 30). The final three represented very different "types" of photography, each with its own unique challenges, and were all excellent. And regarding "unique challenges," congrats to RagingInMiami for a good job hosting under adverse conditions.
