Many of you took the time to look at my Vegas photos, and for saying you enjoyed the tour(s).
Some of the shots I took with you guys in mind, looking forward to sharing with you what I saw.

I got some comments from folks that have never said a word about a photo of mine. I guess I wore them down by sheer volume.

And you do something I rarely do - take pictures of people. Mostly, I do it badly so I really enjoy the photos of people who do it well.

I've never been to Vegas, in spite of the fact it is just a short plane ride from here. Your tour gave me some motivation to go for the completely out of my element kind of experience that it would certainly provoke.

7. Been so busy I've hardly commented on a thing here this week

but I do want to say the Vegas photos were pretty great. The Arbus vibe I got from one I did comment on carried through to others. I'm amazed you got those shots inside the casino. They were brilliant. Someday when the history of that strange city is definitively written, many of your photos could be used for illustration, probably saving the author thousands of words.

Every time you take flight somewhere, what you share of it afterward is an aesthetic pleasure and an insight into these places.

8. All the kind comments indicating that people took time with my work make me

feel valued.
I can't clutter up the board thanking everybody after posting so selfishly many photos.

I must single you out though because I want to specifically tell you I read your Arbus comment early on, and in the few hours I wandered the Vegas streets afterwards I was influenced by it, and therefore it was a valuable contributor to the photos I took, and the ones I chose to show.

That is how we make an impact on one another here in this forum, when we move beyond just cursory commentary and connect.

I had hoped you would be around to see the others before they get lost and roll away, and I'm really glad you did.

staying vibrant. And without you here this would be a much diminished place. When I feel moribund, I turn here for inspiration and challenge, and you provide those in spades (or whatever the lucky suit seemed to be in Vegas).
