1. They are lovely. I don't do landscapes enough to say
yea or nay on any of them

2. Nothing like overcast sky and low level sun
Nice job. The lighting is wonderful and you did a great job capturing it.

3. A journey, Richard, WOW
First: too many in one thread that asks for feedback. IMO. Two threads would make it easier for me.
#1, lovely, but I'd like to see more light in it
#2 PERFECT in balance, color, and capture and that goes for the fascinating
#3 as well

#4 looks like a Hyena jutting out like that. I have a photo taken at "The Arches" that has a rock looks like a man in hysterics.
I like it a lot, would like to see it lightened a bit.

#5-7 are very nice landscape shots.
#8 is fabulous to me, with the wonderful color distinctions. This one reminds me of the Grand Canyon.

Numbers 9-14 make me want to be there so badly I can just taste it.

I thank you for all of them.

7. Thumbs way up - and thank you for taking me seriously.
(In the last week, BTW, I finally found again your photo of the woman sitting on the steps of the house in Peru. I will be in touch with a photo if I go through with my plans to paint that.)

8. I like this version!
The increased contrast helps bring out the clouds as does the color.
You might look at taking the foreground down to black as a silhouette and maybe trimming off the top and bottom to more of a pano format.

4. Way too many there to give any detailed critiques.
Lots of good stuff there with lots of potential.

Feel free to separate out any individual shots you are specifically wanting critiques on.

6. I'm partial to the
second half of the photos starting with #9. I like the low angled front lighting It brings out the detail of the mountains without washing them out. The clouds add to them too.

9. Nature does the best job
And low light and dramatic clouds really make the scene in many of these gorgeous photos.

I personally prefer a little bit tighter crops on some of the mountain landscapes. As an example, twelve I like better than nine and ten, which both have some less interesting clouds on the top, and less interesting terrain on the right. I would crop those a little above the blue in the sky, and crop out some of the right of the landscape, although make them a bit different from twelve, which I like.

Wow I really love that tree bark! What is the story on that?

11. Good advice.
I'm still a bit shy on cropping. I'll play with this more.

The bark, if you look at it closely, starts off on the left side as very small grooves in the wood and gets gradually bigger. It's caused I believe by the grub of a beetle and it's sort of cool you can see it as it gets bigger. Not at all good for the trees though.
