A few photos from Toulouse and Bordeaux
The Garonne river runs through both Toulouse and Bordeaux. The water was pretty still as it flowed through Toulouse, which made the reflection of this bridge nice and clear.

I liked how this one turned out.

What I found touching in this one is how the little girl tries to help with docking the boat.

Here's one from Bordeaux. We've been on tour with an Italian singer, and played beneath this ceiling at the lovely 18th century "Grand Théâtre" a few nights ago.

1. HOt damn on number one! What a great picture. It's hard to make out
that there is water involved. And I like how the city is suggested through the opening in the calm. Really special.
I like the others as well, especially the lettering on the boat. :)
Now there's an idea for a "B".
Your presence here always widens my horizon, thank you!

6. Hey Mira, thanks!
I'm sort of knackered today. Because our flight was cancelled, we all had to pile into a chartered bus right after the concert and drive all night from Toulouse to Geneva.

5. Thank you, elleng.
The tour is with Cecilia Bartoli. There are two programs, one is music from the latest record called "Sacrificium" by some relatively obscure composers (17th/18th cent), and the other is a Handel program. Next stop, Strasbourg...

14. Yes, she's a consumate performer and an excellent musician.
Also a nice person.

The concerts are always very exciting, as the audiences invariably go nuts ! ! !

19. OH MAN Strasbourg before Christmas! Stay til the Christmas market opens.
The cathedral is awash in gold, and the happenings are so wonderful. My Mom is in Karlsruhe, and two years ago it was just a hop and a skip to Strasbourg at pre- Christmas time.

10. Second one is to die for. What a superb photograph.
And you're right about the little girl. Tugs at the heartstrings to see the earnest efforts of kids discovering how big the world is. It's utterly charming.

13. I wanted to mention that I like your sig pic....

After all this time it's still hard to wrap my head around the fact that two of the immortal Beatles are gone.

When George died I made this photoshop job to express how bereft I felt.

17. Well done, and very poignant.
My sig pic is a screen cap from a Youtube fan video. I think the photo is by Astrid Kirchherr.

that reflection awesome.

And on a selfish note, I can see my crew rowing along that river, and under that bridge! ;-)
