ideas for December Photo Contest...
...in Detroit right now, headed to Vermont tomorrow to see my kids and then I go to Minnesota to begin my next work assignment... I have way too many ideas for the December photo contest and since I am relatively new here, don't know what some of the recent past topics have been.

Please, please reply with ideas you all have and then I will narrow it down to a few by the beginning of next week.

just a smidgen of the topics I have been thinking of:

Noise/Music
Rush Hour
Education
Hands/Feet
Sunday Morning
Consumerism
"Handmade"
etc...

:hi:

1. Good Morning!
Your kids look wonderful. Healthy / happy / congenial!
Love the one on the right doing her Farrah Fawcett imitation. I feel my kid is my best piece of work, and there you have FOUR of them.

My suggestion for the contest is
"WHITE"
had I won I would have dictated it, in honor of WJMS who suggested it last month.

Not white as in black and white photo. White as in a color photo, not necessarily snow for Winter and December, but snow would be OK.

Happy Hosting, and if you need help there are many happy to assist, including me.

3. I like "white".
That would be pretty challenging.

10. I could get on board
if we could also do black and white (but the main element in the photo is actually white.)

2. Suggestion..
Lovely family. They certainly appear to be a happy and healthy group. I thought I heard you had 7 children in total? Wow!

Their photo suggests to me the topic for the next contest should be "community".

Good luck with the contest and thank you sharing your family with us.

4. Does your first photo represent "Noise"?
:P j/k.I'm guess that counts as "Handmade."

Of your list, I like Hand/Feet and Noise/Music. I think both would be pretty challenging - to bring creative new views to hands and feet or to be able to "see" sound.

And congrats on winning the last contest! :hi:

5. Sunday morning and rush hour intrigue me
I love the idea of a bunch of pictures taken at the same time, but not so specific as to make it too difficult. Sunday morning and rush hour both fit that bill.....

Good job thinking up topics.

And thanks for the great family pic and your stairway is great! (handmade??)

6. Watts Tower was created by a man
named Simon Rodia in Los Angeles (in the infamous Watts riot section of town). Very very rich history/art/story. I visited last year and was delighted by it.
