The Big Girl went to Heaven today. Where the streets are paved in grilled chicken and God always has time to play tug.

She was a good girl and we are going to miss her deeply.

3. So sorry
I still miss our old pooch. They work their way into our hearts and love us no matter what kind of day we've had.

RIP Chan-Chan.

4. I know your heart is cramping up! My deepest sympathy.
TMI
I used to be terrified of all dogs. Esp. German Shepherds. I could not breathe when in their presence I was so scared. So I set about to cure myself.

At age 33 I got a baby shepherd and raised it.
Since then I have learned to love dogs, and have lost 4. I also learned to understand the sadness and the loss and the need for mourning until it hurts less.

My heart goes out to your family in this time of loss.

6. What a gorgeous face. I know too well how much it hurts to lose a canine companion.
Condolences to you and your family.

8. I'm so sorry, Itchinjim.
She was a lovely dog, all gorgeous coat and soulful eyes. How old was she in this shot?

I will be inconsolable when I eventually lose my dog, Bear. My heart breaks in solidarity with you.

9. She was a beauty
I understand the pain, and empathize. The holes in your hearts will never go away, but hopefully with time, they will get smaller.
