Okay so we had some WHITE weather yesterday
I like photography because it forces us to pay attention. For example, I now know moonrises and moonsets, and I also know that when I wake up, and the car has a lot of dew on it, there is most likely some pretty serious fog going on in the lakes of Shelby Farms. I still have no idea how to shoot fog best, but if I take enough pictures some turn out okay. So far this is our only white weather of the winter. I could use one of these or go with some sandy pics, hmmmm.

1. Those are beautiful
especially 3, 4 and 5. Love the last one, too, although it doesn't have as much white.

2. Thank you
The fog was lifting then. I like it because there is just a bit of light shining on the bushes. If the subject is white, though, well, I am thinking sand! We'll see. I do like at least trying to take some special photos for White even if I don't use them in the contest.

3. Lovely! And not winter YET!
Whose woods these are I think I know.
His house is in the village though;
He will not see me stopping here
To watch his woods fill up with snow.

My little horse must think it queer
To stop without a farmhouse near
Between the woods and frozen lake
The darkest evening of the year.

He gives his harness bells a shake
To ask if there is some mistake.
The only other sound's the sweep
Of easy wind and downy flake.

The woods are lovely, dark and deep.
But I have promises to keep,
And miles to go before I sleep,
And miles to go before I sleep.

5. Your work is getting more and more beautiful.

EVERY ONE here is a masterpiece to me. I scroll and scroll, and look and look..
Numbers 4 and 5 are my favorites. It has nothing to do with that there are no animals, its because they are impressionistic classics.
Girl! You outdid yourself here

Edited to add that for the life of me I can't chose between 4 and 5
Good thing they are not in a poll

I agree with Richard D on photos--nature does the heavy lifting. What I am smart about is checking to see if my car is dewy. The pinkish photo is actually the only one with no birds in it. The one before that has two birds in it, though with the fog, they look more like rocks! Edited to add--no birds in the second one either. No matter what the photo of mine, if it has a lake or a tree in it, I would want to add a bird, if possible. But sometimes the best view doesn't include a bird. Frustrating! (but challenging)

10. Thanks
It might be my fave but I really prefer landscape mode, by far, for landscapes.

8. # 5 is fantastic, almost a Turner painting quality.
Reminded me for some reason English countryside/marsh.

Fascinating.

11. Well, thank you
The weather and fog kept me hopping. Definitely lifting, so I scurried around.

9. Oh my
Those are great.

I was going through my folders and found one of white birds in the fog which I thought might be worth considering. Now, I'm reconsidering! Yours are beautiful.
