Went into my backup and played a bit with elements
within a photo. Sometimes the original image is OK, but zooming in might expose something of interest. You will sacrifice one thing for something else. You could end up with something, though not as clean and sharp, maybe more interesting than the original. Of course you could end up with total crap. You never know until you try.

1. I like the way the shadows cross lines in the first one
Vertical, horizontal, diagonal lines...really like that.

2. Thanks. I had to sacrifice sharpness by a 90% zoom. The second
Was a100% zoom.

3. Like both of them very much. You are inspiring me
with your black and white, the time has come to play with it as well.
I took the liberty, and hope you don't mind, to crop the second one further. I like the line of light on the shoulder so much I wanted to accentuate it, and in my crop it then picks up IMO the line of her
shoulder correspondingly.

Maybe you like it, too.

6. I like that. It puts more emphasis on the couple.
I saw mine more about transformation (walking into the light), and the rejection of transformation.

What do you see in your interpretation of the image. I like what you did. It changed the story line completely.

7. I knew what you were thinking, and I knew I was changing it.
I took it strictly as a visual of beauty: shapes and light and repetition of shapes. Enough of the light source was preserved in the rays on the left to keep telling your story, just more muted.
Hope that makes sense.

9. I just noticed how the light on the shoulder
follows the line of the roof, drawing the eye to the woman. Cool.
