1. I want to start shooting raw image files
and teach myself how to process them.

10. Me, too.
I'd also like to learn Cinema 4D. I think I could do some neat things with it and use the frames in 2D printmaking.

3. I just want to keep on producing and progressing.
I could use a new mirror-less camera with a fast lens like a 20mm f1.7 so I could do low light without a flash.

4. I do like that I have, at least temporarily, freed myself from
color photography. I love colors, but black and white is my first love.

5. new camera, if possible
Handheld, biggest zoom possible, easy to transport on moderate hikes. I might also get a small tripod when I don't hike.

Also, maybe getting downtown more. I've been looking on Flickr groups for people's urban shots around here and find them wonderful. But my eye needs to be retrained for that. Oh, and I might need a bodyguard. :silly:

Not sure about the risks of photography, stepping in a hole and falling at Shelby Farms, vs. downtown crime....hmmm.

6. I decided about midyear this year
to take a cue from Blue in AK and do a shot a day for the new year. I tried it to see if I could sustain the effort, and had almost given up. Then I got my 12 mgp point and shoot. So, that's my goal. If I get enough good results, I'll publish a book (just for me) through Blurb.

8. Yes, still around
Apple has a book service, too, although the format seems limited. Thanks for the link. I'll check out other publishers when I get ready.

9. I would like very much to be able to use my camera more like a pro

And, Step into HDR Photography...

When you purchase a DSLR these days it seems the learning curves become vertical walls.. I find that I need to carry a book with me eveywhere to understand more on what my camere can and will do, if I take the time to tell it how to achieve these not so simple feats...

Now that my D200 is pushing 5 years, I am seriously thinking about the 300i (must be that glutton for punishment syndrome).

Anyways, that's my story and I'm Stickin' to it!

11. Just want to try new things. This month, I purchased an E-30 to replace the
E-520 that was drenched at the Gulf of Mexico. For the last few months, I've been taking low-light nightclub type shots with a camera that I had very little control over due to the drenching - plus the fact that I'm basically a social phobic, so it has been an interesting experience.

12. When it comes to photography I want to get a clue. Just a clue.
About the rest of my life, I want to find a way to sit down and read and study for one year.

14. Smiling - nice of you! Yet
what I have is the experience of lots and lots of clueless shutter clicking. When you do that there are bound to be some useful things in the mix.

:)

15. My goal is to work on more low-light, no-flash compositions...
I attempted a star trail session last night to no avail.

I have a quick 15 minute exposure, but nothing worth reporting on.

Tonight I may try some city scape across the river shots, but it's bloody cold out this time of year!

17. I'm facing a move in the coming year. It's only a 5 hour move but a different state
(in Germany). I want to get through that without going too crazy. I'll take photos of the journey to chronicle our move - for myself. We're driving with all the four-legged critters. Should be interesting...

I want to get better at photography. I'm still learning.

I'm hoping I can continue to find the time to do so.
