My dad bought a new Bronica and he's giving me his old one
:woohoo: I've been trying to get my hands on this camera for years lol. :D (I'm hoping he'll buy the new Minolta digital soon.) I need a good inexpensive light meter. Anyone have a recommendation?

1. Oh' yeah? Well that's nothin'!
My Grandpa gave me his Polaroid 600, circa 1988. It's such a classic that I can get $2 for it on Ebay! So there! $10 for a stack of film????:wtf:

4. Lol
I have an old Polaroid J33 Land Camera. You could probably get one cheap on ebay lol. 'Course they don't make the film anymore, so why bother?

2. Light Meter?

Sorry... can't help you. This one is a little "confused". I don't know.. ebay?

Bronica? That's 2 kewl. I saw some wonderful b&w photos this summer done on the Bronica. The nice old gent I met back in July during our little mountain adventure told me that their filmsie group could only get medium format film from Europe... that was decent anyway. Not sure.

Have fun and good luck on finding a light meter.
:hi:

6. Thx Gordon
I wonder why their group was having a problem? I can buy film for it locally, but I'll probably order it from B&H or KEH, much cheaper that way. Heck, there's a ton on ebay if nothing else lol.

7. They were very down-to-earth.... "low tech"
Which was why I enjoyed chatting so much with this old gent. Kind of an isolated town... no where to buy film locally and I didn't get the sense that they were big into the internet.

They did their own matting and framing.. developing and printing of course. I was amazed and humbled by the excellent photographs I saw. I bought one which I posted somewhere around here. It was done by one of the group newbies.

Beddy Time for me. I just finished PPing 35 snaps. Dead tired. I'm picking up a filmsie body next week (thanks Touchdown!!) I want to get into working with film for awhile. Can you recommend a good place for lab work and digitizing? The local "chain" camera store scares the hell out of me.

Later
:hi:

8. I've had good luck with Mike's Camera in Glendale.
Off Colorado and Expedition. Across from Chili's. They send Medium format off to Boulder to develop, so it takes a little longer.

I've also taken my film to Wolf Camera. They're pretty good. I wouldn't worry so much about them.
