Kodak DC 290 Digital Camera has photos held captive inside... |
|
has anyone here had this experience? Does anyone here have one of these cameras? I can't figure out how to get them out? I tried to hook up the camera to my computer, I even followed the directions but I just get an error message that basically says there is no camera connected. I downloaded the Kodak upgrade - still didn't work. I got the easy share software - still didn't work. I don't know what to do? I guess I need to contact Kodak? Can anyone relate? Any words of wisdom or experience to share? Thanks.

1. It might be a problem with the connection cable |
|
I'm not familiar with the camera, but I once had similar problems using a memory card reader. It would tell me there was no camera connected. I ended up exchanging the memory card reader and now it works fine.

3. I just exchanged it for a newer one, but the same model. |

This, of course, after several frustrating days on the phone with the people from scandisk (the company that made it), trying to figure out what I was doing wrong. Finally, after trying all sorts of things, the guy says, "it looks like you ended up with a defective card reader. Why don't you send it to us and we'll send you a new one." I saved myself a stamp and returned it to Best Buy.
