It's gonna be Kennedy vs. Nixon all over again. That's the sort of match where the referee should just step in between the fighters and call it off after a few punches.

Nothing will make McCain look more like a grumpy, tired old loser of a man faster than going up against Obama.

Ronald Reagan could manage to seem more vigorous and youthful than Walter Mondale...but Ronald Reagan he ain't.

And I don't think it would even be a fair contest.

Four years ago it was different...* was a joke, but Kerry was not exactly Mr. Electricity by contrast. The big advantages he had were intelligence and no need to have someone prompting him in his ear through a bulge on his back. But Obama, damn...he's got it all.

All of a sudden I'm scared for him...I'm afraid that somewhere, tonight, someone is taking the gloves off, having determined that drastic times call for drastic measures.

I'm not sure I want to see what the drastic measures are.
