:hi: I can't BELIEVE it. Bill accuses Obama of "picking on a girl," yet says Obama has no right to complain about being attacked because if he wants to play the game he needs to put on the shoulder pads!
That's the dirtiest pool in the world!
It's like being a girl who beats up all the boys at school and then, if one fights back and bloodies your nose, bursting into tears and saying "You're not supposed to hit a GIRL!"

62. Oh, he's in the Hillary supporters' doghouse already. |
|
Some weeks ago he published an article saying the math was against Hillary and she could not win. Since then, Hillary's supporters have gone so far as to make fun of his "chemo hair." I chided one for that and his retort was that it was stupid of me to expect him to lay off Alter just because he had cancer. I said I was not expecting him to lay off Alter because he had cancer, I was asking him to not make fun of his hair because when one has been through chemo, people making fun of one's hair is just bad taste. (Unless one does it oneself).
In other words, if you want to ridicule him, ridicule him for HIMSELF--not his hair, which he can't now help.

45. Michigan primary statute has been declared unconstitutional |
|
http://www.michiganliberal.com/showDiary.do?diaryId=11761The judge ruled that it's as if it never took place. This lawsuit was brought because the lists that were compiled from the primary were only going to be made available to the parties and would not be public information. That part of the statute was declared unconstitutional, thus voiding the whole thing. At least that's how I undertstand it.

I'm not sure if they're going to be able to work out a caucus or mail-in yet, but it's not looking good. We'll have to see if this ruling changes anything. The Secretary of State is not going to appeal the decision.

You know, I'm pissed at Hilary for trying to jerry rig this thing any way she can, but the people I'm the most angry at are in the Michigan Democratic party for moving the voting date in the first place. End result is anyone who voted in the Dem primary is disenfranchised, and that doesn't sit well with me at all.
Crap, I thought it was the Repukes who liked to disenfranchise Democratic voters, but oops! Not this time. x(

I don't like Rachel's makeup; it makes her look washed out.
But, Rachel? :loveya:

As she usually does.
I guess she goes for the toilet humor despite herself. Keith's bad Depends joke made her laugh twice.

The eye makeup was a little dull; and a some blush would have worked wonders.
But, all that said, she's still my girl crush. :)

How do you like the ruling by Judge Edmonds? It's as if our primary never took place. Now what do you think they'll do?

There're DEFINITELY pheromones in the air here. I finally mustered up the courage to drag my testosterone-poisoned carcass over in solidarity with y'all ... in light of the "dead to me" reactionary zealots' (alleged) evacuation. :silly:
The summary judgement by Edmonds is interesting. It addresses but one aspect of the enormous turd that the FUBAR of the Primary ... but it can't and won't unring the bell.
Poor Hillary! So close and yet so far. More eggs she counted that won't hatch. :nopity:
Still ... the VOTERS are screwed. No primary campaign funds spent in the state. No Democratic candidate directly addressing the MAJOR concerns of the VOTERS of Michigan. It's beyond disgusting.

They're going to have to figure something out now that the entire state, including Hillary's voters, have been disenfranchised.
Mark Grebner had an interesting idea over at MichLib. Do some polls and base the delegate count on the results of the polls.

105. Hate to say this, but Wal-Mart is not alone in that. |
|
My (private) company contracts with Washington State Dept. of Labor & Industries; that's where our work comes from.
Occasionally, we get a client who was injured as the direct result of a third party, much in the way the woman who worked at Wal-Mart. By law, L&I can get their money back when a client gets a settlement from the 3rd party. I haven't heard that they have had to sue the client; rather, it's right there in the paperwork you file when you have a claim. If you are injured by a third party (i.e. not by someone or something directly employed by your company), the Department has the right to recoup any and all monies they spent in your medical care and timeloss.
Sucks, but there it is.

One of the prizes being offered at the silent auction at Steph's event was a baseball "basket" containing a pair of tix to the Indians' home opener. I was tempted to bid on it, but, as I told Bot, if it's anything like last year, they'll have to call the game on account of snow.

Mike Hargrove, ex-Indians manager and Human Rain Delay, ending one game when the Indians were winning, just shy of the number of innings that would have made it LEGAL...
And then he leaves the Mariners.
Ass.

118. Well, fine, but they should recover that money from the third party who paid out. |
|
Edited on Wed Mar-26-08 08:55 PM by BerryBush
They should NOT have to sue the client, and they should NOT demand more than was paid out by the third party!!!!
Editing: Read up on this and the thing is, the woman's family got $1 million plus, but most of that went for legal expenses and what they had left over was less than what Wally paid out for her care. They thought they could keep the money for her perpetual future care, but noooooo!
So what we have here is, Wal-Mart is technically in the right, but, as Keith said, what would it have cost them to just make an exception in this case and let this family keep the money as an exceptional case, vs. all the bad publicity they have bought themselves by doing this???
It's wacked. The family is devastated. Not only did they lose a son in Iraq (oh, but he VOLUNTEERED, Cheney would say), the husband is recovering from prostate cancer, and he had to divorce her because otherwise she wouldn't be eligible for Medicare.
