KOEB Puppet Theatre, Episode II
Look out, guys. I have the feeling KOEB Puppet Theatre is not going to be a one-time-only thing on Countdown. I predict that not long after Episode I, Episode II will follow...

(Opening title: "KOEB PUPPET THEATRE"...)

GOGI PUPPET (in squeaky Keith approximation of female voice): It's Monday, hurray hurray! And we got a Countdown newsletter and it doesn't say Keith won't be in, so we know he'll be in! Oh happy day!!

WOLVERINE DG PUPPET: Hey, Gogi, couldn't you use some help putting together that little trap you were going to use to catch Keith during your trip to New York?

GOGI PUPPET: Sure! Have we got all the parts?

CRISPINI PUPPET: Well, I got the pink fur-lined handcuffs right here. Remember, use them only after you've positively identified your quarry.

BUNNY PLANET PUPPET: Here's the wooden box. Now this is actually six feet five inches long, so it should accommodate the quarry quite comfortably.

SYDNIE PUPPET: And here's the forked stick with the string. And the all-important bait...the baseball card!!

WOLVERINE DG PUPPET: Wow! A Joe Shlabotnik rookie card! Charlie Brown tried for YEARS to get one of those! Lucy got one in her bubblegum pack and wouldn't give it to him...and THEN she THREW IT AWAY!!

CRISPINI: Yeah, but did you ever see the last panel of that cartoon?

WOLVERINE DG PUPPET: Which last panel?

SYDNIE PUPPET: The one where some other kid dives into the trash can and retrieves it. Funny-looking kid in glasses. Don't think they ever used his character in any other strips.

SHARON RB PUPPET: Now, Gogi, remember, Bunny and I scoped this all out for you. What you do is, you go to Central Park. You prop the box with the stick, put the card under it, and go wheel yourself behind the nearest bush--

GOGI: Does it have to be a BerryBush?

BUNNY PLANET PUPPET: No.

SHARON RB PUPPET:--and before you know it, you'll be "bringing home the snark"! So to speak! (Everyone laughs)

CRISPINI PUPPET: Just remember to save some for US!

(THEY ALL PAUSE AT NOISE FROM TV)

GOGI: Wait, what's that?

(They all turn to TV, where image of Keith is bobbing in hollowed-out screen area)

KEITH PUPPET: ...And, that's Countdown for tonight. For this summer, actually. I'll be spending the next few months on my 'Ballpark Vacation Tour.' I'm Keith Olbermann. Keep your knees loose...and your Joe Shlabotnik cards to yourself! Who do you think that strange kid in the Peanuts cartoon was, anyway? Good night, and good luck! (Balls up and pitches paper wad, which comes flying out at the puppets)

EVERYONE: He's ON VACATION? HE WON'T EVEN BE IN NEW YORK? ALL SUMMER? NOOOOOO!!!!!

GOGI PUPPET: Ow! He HIT ME with that thing!

(Closing title: "KOEB PUPPET THEATRE"...)

1. Clark Puppet: Damn. Now there's no news to watch on television.
I might as well sell my TeeVee.

LOL! These are cute, Berry!

2. The thing is,
the thought of Keith in a Peanuts strip is credible to me. :)

 thanks guys...and yeah, can't you just sort of see Keith as a Peanuts character...one thing's for sure, he would fit in on their perpetually losing baseball team...

6. For Joe Shlabotnick alone
this was brilliant! I'm on to read Episode III.

Completely true to our geek form, however, I think Episode IV should have been released first. :)

7. I swear, I thought exactly the same thing.
But thought, nah, nobody would get it.

You have a brilliant mind, Pats.
