KOEB Puppet Theatre, Episode V: The Umpire's Strike Is Back
(KOEB Puppet Theatre opening)

CRISPI PUPPET (WATCHING PUPPET TV): Oh look, time for another report from Monica Novotny.

REV. CHEESE PUPPET: So, what's Gidget got to tell us about this time?

CC PUPPET (WITH ALL THE PET PUPPETS): Well, the Web site said that there was going to be a special report on a new variation to that BabbleOn product that was on last night.

WOLVERINE DG PUPPET: Really?

CC PUPPET: Yeah--it's a little more macho than the regular model. It's called the "Baseball BabbleOn." Listen...

TV PUPPET (VOICE): ...he played 33 games for St. Louis in the National League in 1876 and 1877 and hit a career .198...signed on with the Atlantics of Brooklyn, the most famous team in the nation, in 1855...Perez, nine times over 20 homers, seven times over 100 RBI, 1965 through 1981...

REV. CHEESE PUPPET: Wow, that thing just goes ON and ON!

SEITO PUPPET: Where IS the BabbleOn? I don't see it. (PEERS CLOSELY AT TV PUPPET) All I see on the screen is...Monica and Keith.

WOLVERINE DG PUPPET: Yeah...where's the little box that makes all the noise?

REV. CHEESEHEAD PUPPET: *sigh* Uh, guys...take a closer look...

(THEY ALL STARE CLOSELY AT TV PUPPET)

KEITH PUPPET (ON TV SCREEN): ...between 1959 and 1975, only four guys managed to come to the plate even 6,000 times and hit .300...second in hits for his era, fourth in total bases, sixth in runs, eighth in stolen bases, twelfth in RBI...switch-hitting catcher in the Negro Leagues from 1919 through 1950...

(THEY KEEP STARING IN DISBELIEF)

REV. CHEESEHEAD PUPPET: ...and you know what's scary? I don't think he has an "Off" switch.

SEITO PUPPET: Maybe not but still...I gotta get one of those things for MY office.

CC PUPPET: Yeah...

CRISPI PUPPET: I mean, the babbling is kind of annoying...but you gotta love the housing it comes in.

EVERYONE: Yeah...*sigh*

(KOEB Puppet Theatre closing)

for here...at least that baseball babble is in a nice package and not near as annoying. Might not go postal on it at least. Plus the ferrets would eventually bite his toes to turn him off.

3. Hey, I want that job...

Anyway, I'm more of an F. Scott Fitzgerald fan...can I call this one "BabbleOn Revisited"?
