3. I don't think it's gonna be that easy. |

The question is why he even hinted about it to reporters. That alone is bad enough to,at the very least, impair his effectiveness. It takes time to defend yourself before grand juries.

4. I don't think he will, actually. |

I think too many people, Rove included, buy into the idea that he can get away with anything. And yes, he's slithered out of a lot, but that doesn't mean it can go on forever. I'm sure the Watergate crowd thought they could get away with anything, too, and they were also wrong. I sometimes think that if the Internet and DU had been around thirty-some-odd years ago after the Watergate burglaries, there would have been many discussions similar to the ones floating around now along the lines of, "yeah, Nixon and his crew are dirty, but they'll get off... just wait and see". Hubris tends to make people sloppy, and so does a lack of empathy. Rove appears to have both. Let's cross our fingers and wait. The only thing I can say with confidence at this point is that Fitzgerald isn't going through these contortions for show; he's out to nail someone's hide to the wall, and I don't think he's willing to settle for the wrong person's hide, either. I think Rove's goose was cooked the minute Time coughed up those emails.

5. I'd like to believe it; let's hope. |

Sheesh, and his lawyer keeps up that farce of how "he didn't mention her by name." Ahem, I think the guy in question has only ONE WIFE...
Anyway. I'm really disappointed Keith isn't going to be around this week. Talk about a great opportunity lost. At least as this short-sighted soul sees it. Then again, maybe I'm wrong. I'd sure love to think so.
